With just 2 weeks extension time to go it’s all happening in Div 2.

5 points separate the 5 top places and it could well go to a sets count back.

Knighton Park 6 and Holwell both have a games in hand so anything can happen.

 

Postponed match is KP 6 v KP 7.

 

Unicorn didn’t let Desford get a look in when they thrashed them 10-0.

Kalan Bhakta, Cameron Leighton and Joe Hume doing the job.

 

Syston 2’s Chandresh Sodha and John Szostak took maximums for Syston when they beat Holwell 7-3, Clive Stretton adding his 1.

1 each for Martin Brunning and Mike James, Mike narrowly losing to deuce in the 5th to John, Mike and Fred Berdej took the doubles for Holwell for the point.

 

Winstanley Wizards took advantage of 2 man Arnesby team and beat them 6-4.

Elly Bajarias won 2 and 1 for Himansu Mishra.

Barry Thompson took 2 for Arnesby and 1 for Dave Wagstaff, they were gifted the doubles by WW.

 

Syston 3 hammered Abbots Road 9-1 with maximums from Ian Whetherly and Kevin Sanderson, Richard Anderson supported them with his 2.

Geoff Hancock won the only game for Abbots Road.

2 Postponements this week.

 

Arnesby v Unicorn and Syston 3 v Winstanley

 

Knighton Park 5 beat Desford 7-3 thanks to maximums for both George McClurkin and Andy Searle and 1 for Martin Pember who was playing up.

 

Andy Wright and Luke Blair won 1 each, Andy narrowly losing to Andy Searle  deuce in the 5th, Andy and Luke took the doubles for the point.

 

Knighton Park 6 overhauled Syston 2 with an 8-2 win.

Maximum and MOM for James Lancaster and supporting James there were 2 wins each for Corey Lancaster and Dillon Kearny.

Phil Pagett won the only 2 for Syston

 

Holwell’s Mike James had a 3 straight maximum and MOM when Holwell beat Abbots Road 6-4, Martin Brunning also taking a maximum.

Raj Rahul playing up, Geoff Hancock and Gitesh Parbhoo all winning 1 each, Gitesh and Fred Berdej taking 1 game to 23-25 won by Gitesh.

Still an almighty struggle at the top of this division with the 2 KP teams 6 and 5 in 1st and 2nd place, with Syston 2 and 3 with games in hand 3rd and 4th, Holwell have now dropped down the list.

 

A rearranged match from last week saw Unicorn beat KP 6 by 6-4, it was maximums for both Kalan Bhakta and Edward Adams.

It was 1 each for Corey Lancaster, Dillon Kearney and Emanuele Carriero.

 

Knighton Park 7 hammered Desford 9-1, Hamza Caratela playing up with a maximum and MOM, Tomasz  Kazmierczak also taking a maximum, Dariusz Miazga winning 2.

Bryan Moylan winning the only game for Desford.

 

Unicorn had a comfortable 7-3 win over Holwell, It was 2 all round for Kalan Bhakta, Cameron Leighton and Joe Hume, Kalan losing to Martin Brunning deuce in the 5th.

It was 1 each for Mike James, Fred Berdej and Martin.

 

Another Unicorn match saw them win 6-4 against Winstanley Wizards.

Maximums for Kalan Bhakta and Danny He.

Elly Bajarias, Mick Box and Thomas Seed  playing up, all taking 1 each plus the doubles.

 

Syston 3 took command of their match against Howell and beat them 8-2.

Ian Whetherely was MOM with his maximum and 2 each for Kevin Sanderson and Richard Anderson.

Martin Brunning won the only 2 and narrowly losing deuce in the 5th to Ian.

 

Arnesby had a 6-4 win over Knighton Park 5.

It was 2 each for Darren Bramhall, Barry Thompson and Dave Wagstaff.

George McClurkin’s maximum was not enough to stop the defeat, Andy Searle losing deuce in the 5th to Dave Wagstaff.

 

Bumper night for Knighton Park 6 when they annihilated  Abbots Road 10-0.

Maximums all round for Dillon Kearney, Corey Lancaster and James Lancaster.
